I feel sad. That's all my run walk runs over. It gets serious now. So I tried my 'new' route (only done once before). I set off and discovered the first 10 mins was running uphill. OK, I exaggerate, it was a slight incline. I suddenly remembered I had downloaded the podcast so stopped the app and used the podcast instead. Nice to have music. I forgot to breathe when I set off, it took a while to settle down to the usual 4 paces in, 4 paces out.
Here's the technical bit I need help with. Once I'd finished my run (easier on the second 10 mins as was slightly downhill) I couldn't mark it as completed on the app, so spent the next half hour cooking dinner with Laura in the background telling me when to walk. Is there an easier way round this problem?
I find I recover faster than I used to which is pleasing.

Well done you! Don’t know the answer but I’m sure someone will help. You’ll be fine without the walks. I felt the same, but you’ll be good and ready for it. ❤️
I felt like that too - so much so that I planned (for after graduation) to try “jeffing” one of my 3 weekly runs ie 15min run /2 min walk pattern. I did try it twice, but discovered by about W11 that continuous running had become my “new normal” & I didn’t want to “Jeff” after all. It just takes time to adapt. 😄
Firstly, well done on the run. You're doing great finishing on an uphill section. Make sure you slow down when that happens, it'll stand you in good stead to avoid injury.
Secondly, the app. Been there, done that. Usually because I either forgot to "save run", or it crashed along the line. Then learned you can fast-forward using the arrows at the bottom, woo-hoo, no more replays! You can also fast- forward the intros when time is an issue.
I found the same as Elfe5 - once I was past week 6 I didn’t miss the walking intervals at all.... even to the point that I changed my running route so I didn’t have to turn around at any point I could just run a circular route.
Keep up the excellent progress - you won’t even miss the gaps!
Ps - what app are you using, what colour is it. I had a problem with the old yellow app from a few years ago (the one with only Laura on it, and then had to change mid run to the new version with the other speakers.... luckily I had it downloaded already.....
My comment at that stage was that the walks were the only bit I liked but, hey ho, I’m at week 8 and not missing them! I know - unbelievable!! At my age! I’d never run even at school. I only did it to escape my retired husband glued to the sofa (afraid I’d just join him!). I plan my runs like you - avoid hills/inclines or at least have it at the start so that you finish on a downhill no matter how slight. It means I can stride out at the end (in my head at least - not sure the snails notice).
