Just completed week 6 run 2. Feeling amazing. So pleased with my progress so far. Was slightly apprehensive with 3 minute walk to recover between both runs, but didn’t seem too bad really. I slightly changed my route, which seems to be helping me stay motivated.

Congrats Monkeyrun, I did wk6r3 first thing - it wasn’t too bad! Let me know how you get on with it. All longer runs from now on!

I’m 64 and haven’t run for a great number of years. I will let you know how I get on with run 3. Congratulations to you on having done it. Yes, all long runs from now. Good luck.

We’re similar then - I’m 61! Have run before but not for ages - good to see us both getting back to it.

Hi PurpleCat87

I did my run 3 of week six earlier today. I felt it was slightly more challenging, but now that I know I can do it it shouldn’t be a problem. I felt amazing after it. I ran the last minute at a fair speed as I listened to Sarah Millican’s words of encouragement. Hope you are doing ok with your next runs ahead.👍

Great stuff Monkeyrun, now that you’ve got that one out of the way, the rest should be plain sailing! I felt more confident this morning tackling w7r1 as I knew I had already done 25 mins. Really enjoyed today’s - all the best for your remaining runs. Are you getting any aches and pains? I have a niggling pain behind my right knee, which I’ve had for a while.

To be honest I’ve not been bad with aches and pains. I’m following a stretching regime following every run, even in the earlier weeks. My left knee sometimes has the odd twinge, but apart from that just a general feeling that I’ve done exercise. Good luck with your future runs too.

Thank you, I need to do the stretching exercises more! I did do some today but sometimes I’ve forgotten until later.

Well done! I really struggled going back to walking once you have broken through and ran for longer. Hopefully you can see you are recovering quicker now.

Enjoy your rest and good luck for your next run!
