Hello all. I'm really glad there are so many fab, supportive people on here with lots of advice. Tomorrow I do Run 3 of Week 1 and I'm surprised at how excited I am to tick that off and look forward the Week 2.

Did a similar programme years ago so I have a great memory of actually running 5k. Unfortunately I've been on the sofa so long I'm back to square one puffing along feeling grim. Good to see the advice to keep it slow - I'm definitely doing that.

Yeah..."time to change at 60" is a great title.

I too felt it was time to do things differently and my way. Do whatever you want! Improve every day...it's amazing. What were we worried about? Good luck with your running and any other challenges you take on. πŸ‘πŸ‘€

Yep, taking things slowly works! It helps you tick off those runs and lowers the risk of injury in the early stages. There are lots of folk in the early stages of the programme here at the moment, so plenty to share the journey with as well as lots of us to cheer you along the way. Good luck!πŸ‘

You sound like me when I started this (I’m 60 later this year). I’m further into the plan and still slow but who cares! We will get there πŸ‘πŸ˜

Same age as me. Started a bit before my 60th just because it was an adventure! It has been and I hope you enjoy it! It's tough going sometimes but you will feel the difference it makes pretty soon!
