Hi all, I'm just here to link up with like minded people. My fitness is nil and in my middle 40's I thought I best do something about it. I'm only on week one so may need support

Good start. Off the couch and up and running 🏃

This is a really supportive place 😊

Well done, week one is one of the hardest weeks in my opinion, actually starting W1R1 was the hardest thing I did.

Keep posting your progress, the support you will get will drive you on.

Hi Running-mam!

Snap. One month ago my fitness was nil and I am in my mid-forties. Took my health for granted previously, but now realise that as an older woman, I have to contribute to my good health and fitness, well, it aint gonna come naturally at 46 years old!

You will definitely get all the support you need on here, it is a wonderful community of people. And some days it is just nice to read about other people's journeys – the highs, the lows, the in betweens!

But, trust me when I say this programme works. It is quite miraculous. The best advice I have ever received is to go slow and steady. Do not concern yourself with speed, nor distance, just focus on finishing each run, and breath nice and steadily from your belly not your chest. You will be absolutely astounded at what you CAN do, and how quickly you can gain some fitness. I was absolutely out of breath with lead legs on the first run of week 1 (60 seconds of running). This weekend just gone I ran for 5 minutes straight, and was not terribly out of breath or in pain! All this is just one month of following C25K.

Happy running!
