App issues

I did R2WK2 this morning the hard part is getting the shoes on and getting out to do it. My big frustration is the app crashing constantly dampening all my motivation and enthusiasm. After every section I'm having to go back to the beginning and jumping to where I was on the run. The main problem is when it is working I'm not trusting it and conciously always checking it. My 90sec runs were more like 2mins as it had stopped and gave no guidance. Not sure how to fix this apart from trying another app? Otherwise I am determined to get through it if my dodgy hip permits I ve just realised I've got Hip App problems.

There have been a few people that have said they have problems with the app. There are podcasts you can download which seem to work better for some . Good luck 😊

I found that if I was using in conjunction with another app, if that app gave instructions or updated pads etc it would stop the C25K app. So I turned off “Runkeeper” notifications and all was fine.

The app is definitely dodgy, so please report it to the developers, via your download site, otherwise they will not know.

The podcasts are linked to in the guide to the plan.

I've only got to the middle of W3 on my restarted C25k but am pleased to report I've not experienced any app problems. Are you only running the C25K app, or have you got other things running at the same time? I'm just wondering if it's something else that's causing the app to crash? I have tried listening to the podcasts in the past but didn't like their choice of music, but then I am a miserable old git! Just a suggestion, and I realise that it would mean you have to keep looking at your phone (or stopwatch) but you could try starting a stopwatch when you leave out, spend 5 minutes walking then six repeats of 90 seconds running, 2 minutes walking, then your 5 minute cool down walk? The distraction of this may also take your mind off how long you're running for too! Let us know how it goes.

I'm an old git too so I probably won't like the podcast music either.

It happens, I found it also happened on the podcast!.

What did stop it for me was following the start instructions properly on the app.

Start your music and then press go.

I had been starting my music after.

It might help, worth a try😊

That may be why I have not had any problems. I always start my metronome, then podcast player, then map My Run and finally the C25K app (no wonder I get up an hour early to go running!)

I only used the podcasts, brilliant, no issues.

There are some people that report problems with the app. There are podcasts that you could download, if you can bear the dodgy music 😆
