I started using the Couch to 5k app this Monday. I’ve been running at night. I ran Monday, Wednesday and Friday. The runs all went well. I feel like it has gotten easier each time. I’m enjoying it. I’m looking forward to starting week 2 on Sunday.

I hope so, it can be difficult to get out the door but once I’m going it’s fine. Hope I can keep it up. Thank you!

Try to focus on the feeling you get when you get back from a run and ignore those before you go out. Easy to say, I know.

I always find it helpful to sort my gear and trainers out the night before. Good luck 👍

Sound advice. The feature in the app where it asks how you feel after the run definitely helps keep it perspective. Great idea with getting your gear out the night before, I will give that a go. Thank you!

Well done mate for getting out there and completing Week 1. You sound very organised to me which should help you progress through the programme. Keep it up but remember to go at your own pace and to listen to your body, aches are OK but hurting yourself is not on. It may involve running but it's not a race, the constant advice I've read is to slow down & then slow down some more.Enjoy your rest days and I look forward to hearing how you get on next time.

Fantastic, Well done on finishing week 1. Like you I found getting out the door on week 1 was hard, it gets easier on week 2(for me it did)

Good luck with the coming week, I’m sure you’ll smash it. 👍
