Getting frustrated while I am enjoying to see myself so motivated to keep on track with the program and started to love running.

Now I have to put it on halt as I’m suffering with a bad knee , it’s my third day since my last run but my knee is still feeling painful :(

Im waiting for my new pair of trainers and looking for some exercises to strengthen my knees and surrounding muscles.

Hope it won’t be long before I can resume my runs

Shame about your knee , hopefully with a few days rest and then your new trainers it will resolve itself.

In the meantime try these if you can .

Welcome to the forum and well done

on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

and includes advice on minimising impact, stretching after every run, knee strengthening exercises and dealing with injury, all of which may help.

Enjoy your journey.

That's a real shame to be hit with this when you're just getting into your stride (no pun intended).

Fingers crossed, with some more rest and knee exercises, you'll be fine.

Another couple of days shouldn't make any difference to your running. You should be able to start were you left off

Happened to me week 7 with shin splints and problematic hip. Miss it so much as was loving it even with decent trainers. I didn’t stretch properly before and after. Not ran since November and looking like I’ll have to start from week 1 so feel your pain. Rest now, don’t try to push it.
