Week 2 Run 3 complete 😬

So proud of myself...

First day back at work after Christmas, so first day that I’ve had to think about completing a run around work.

I thought it was best to just get in, get changed and go and not to overthink about not wanting to do it. Really enjoyed this run; this time I listened to James Manford and Sarah Millican. Looking forwards to starting week 3 on Sunday 😬🏃🏽‍♀️

Any advice or guidance...?

This is the second time I’ve worn my new trainers, and it’s the second time I’ve had some sort of niggling pain - last run I had some hip pain, today my shins were a bit painful... nothing to stop me running... but I’m just wondering is this usual as you’re getting used to running? is it something that occurs as you run for longer? or is this something that’s likely being caused by my new trainers maybe not being right? They are super comfy on my feet and fit well.

I’ve never really tried to run before so I’m not sure what’s normal and what’s not?

What a fantastic attitude.

I must admit, there has been more than one occasion when I've got home from work and it's been torrential rain and I just thought to myself, just get on with it. Dont stop, dont think, just get changed and do it.

It's the best way. And sometimes, they also turn out to be the best runs.

You are doing so well with this.

Happy running!

It’s so easy to talk yourself out of these things; especially in the uk weather lol. I’m sure they’ll be occasions where I do.

But it’s such a good feeling getting it done, and actually being able to enjoy it. I’ve always preached that I’m not a runner and I can’t run; always felt really jealous of people who can run! But looking back I don’t think I’d ever really given it a proper go by building it up gradually. So just feels like such an achievement that I’m doing it and sticking to it - so far, even if it is early days 🙃

So glad I found this too, because the support and atmosphere is fantastic! Probably wouldn’t feel half as motivated without!

I love seeing other people’s progress at different stages, seeing people complete the 9 weeks and what happens after!

Thanks runningmigster, happy running too!!
