Humber Bridge run (for SamNotSammy)

Graduated in September and since then have just been running about 4k twice or three times a week. Today we decided to run over the Humber Bridge and back. Surprisingly, although the world and his wife were there, we were the only runners. Between about 1.5 and 2k we passed a couple going the other way and as we ran past the man remarked 'I could walk faster than that'. We ran on until we'd reached 2.5k and then turned round to run back. It was so sweet when we caught the couple up and ran past them! Oh, I do enjoy a good gloat now and then.😁

You should enjoy gloating and should feel so smug. EVERY one thinks they can walk faster but you are running , don't they get it. Happy New year 🍾🍾🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Ooh that is sweet! 🤣🤣

Well done you. People can be so small minded and ignorant. I'll be running the Humber Bridge for my graduation run next Friday. Can't wait!

It was the first time we'd done it and really enjoyed it. Hope the weather stays fine for your graduation run. Good luck

Thank you for the offer! I've seen that but fear it may he a step too far. I'll graduate next week and then consolidate a few weeks before attempting the Bridge to 10k programme. I will be doing one leg of the Hull Marathon in September (in a team of 4) so if I can get up to 10k distance consistently by then I'll be well chuffed. Good luck to you. I'll be watching your progress 😊

I've done a few halfs and a full now so should be OK as long as it's not too hot 🥵 Next year maybe?!

Would love to!!

Thanks for the offer, but I fear I will never be a distance runner. I might look at doing ju-ju's magic running plan when the nights lighten up but will probably go for the 60 mins. I'm not sure my knees can do much more!
