Arrived at Shorne Wood Country Park with hubby and hound in tow to find about 200 people ready to park run!
There were a couple of other newbies and the marshalls gathered us up and explained everything. Β I wandered to the back and walked back and forth before the start.
And then we were off! I was overtaken immediately by a man pushing a buggy accompanied by a small child π
The course is 3 laps around a woodland path and the weather was glorious. I dumped my hat after lap 1.Β
I ran for 30 minutes to graduate (hurrah) and then completed the 5k with a mix of walking and running. I reckon it took about 45 minutes and I wasn't last π
It was bloody hard but I'm so glad I did it. About to jump in the bath and then into the car to drive to Cornwall.Β
The best bit of the whole c25k journey? You gorgeous folk who have answered my questions, encouraged me and made me laugh. You are all awesome πππ
I'll just head off for my badge now...

Well done! Congratulations on graduating and well done on you first parkrun!!!
Keep it up now - I really missed the discipline of the program the first few weeks after I graduated. Β parkrun really helps there. Β Glad you enjoyed it.
I got my park run result. 43.29 and 191st out of 196. There was one person I beat fair and square as the rest behind me must've been marshalls as all had pb's under 30 mins. I don't care as I stuck to my plan. 30 miles in may for outrun macmillan up next.Β
How absolutely wonderful you've graduated and a cracking idea to complete it on a parkrun!
I think you're a superstar andΒ I've loved reading your posts because of the humour you put into them, very well done "Graduate" xxx
