Trying again ....

Hi all , happy new year 🥳. I first attempted couch to 5 K on 02/01/19 .... I got to week 8 .....and then had a back injury 😭 it completely wiped me out . I was off work , had all sorts of medication & physio & eventually recovered .

I then tried again in July .. but lost the motivation & interest 😫

So , I now intend to start on 02 January . I am unfit , not overweight but I need toning. I’m feeling sluggish & lazy and my mind often works overtime ( worrying over all sorts ) I am so determined to do this 👍🏻

When you tried last time, did you post in this forum?

I found that posting an update after each run is a great self motivator. Its keeps you accountable to the people on this forum. (Its quite good fun to look back at the old posts too).

The other thing is to really understand why you're doing this. What was your motivation for starting. Anytime you think about stopping, just revisit that reason and tell yourself that to stop, means having to accept being happy with the very thing you weren't happy with to start with.

Good luck and let us know how you get on.
