So, I went out last night because my toe felt quite a bit better. The warm up walk proved difficult towards the end but I did manage, with some discomfort, to run for 20 mins. After this I had to stop because the pain down the front of my foot was excruciating. It was from my middle toe all the way down the front of my foot. I though about ringing Neil my husband, to come and pick me up but decided that was too pathetic and by the time I got home I was in serious pain. I iced it and elevated it but it’s not much better this morning. I go to the foot clinic on Saturday so I will ask him what I could have done.

I feel rather like a failure. I was doing SO well. Then I have a word with myself and know that I need to wait until all is well and simply pick up where I left off. Although I was so very keen to get my badge in the new year, there is no rush - it’s not a race. I didn’t anticipate this but never mind. Many people on here have recovered from much worse and gone on to complete the programme.

Happy new year to all of you and thanks so very much for all the support 😘

So sorry Suzie, you've been going great.

Fingers crossed, the news from the docs wont be so bad and they will get you sorted.

You have such amazing determination. Even if you're out for a few weeks, you will still succeed in this program, I know you will.

Keeping my fingers crossed for you!

Oh, lots of sympathy SuzieMac.

Injuries are frustrating, - glitches and interruptions just happen, but your foot will mend & you will get back to your running. - You are not alone on the IC - I spent about 9 months of this year there. I found it helpful to find what exercise I could do while running was not possible. - For me that was cycling & Pilates.

Mend well & be kind to yourself. 😘

Yes Elfe5 and I have both been in the IC - myself for about four months. I took up swimming and cycling. I hope you can find something suitable too. 😊

Oh no! You poor thing! Definitely get it checked out and rest up.

You are most definitely not a failure! Rest and you'll be back to it before you know it. Understand the frustration but you will get there. Happy New Year to you too x
