Hi all, looking for a little advice.

Finished week 7 but the had an injury followed by illness so have not run since end of November.

The plan is to restart on the 2nd of January but where? How far back should I go or do I just bite the bullet and try to do week 8?

Thanks all

If you were new to running then being off for a couple of months is long enough to require stepping back and gently rebuilding.......I would not recommend trying to pick up at W8, but just go out for a gentle jog and see what you can comfortably manage, then you can identify where to pick up the programme again.

In exactly the same position as you , last run was 24 Nov and only just got over the pain in both knees - kept walking as much as possible but no runs . Tried a 3 min run two days ago and all ok so far - my instincts tell me to take it gradually and see how it feels . Good Luck !😊

I hope I can do a bit more than 3 but I know I probably won’t manage 10. It’s sucks after all the effort already put in. Good luck to you too
