W2R3 done and felt better then the ones previous. Still seem to get really tight and burning calf’s. Anyone else get this and any remedies to relieve it?

Have you been stretching after runs? Look at the strength and flex forum for sample exercise.

Yes, What Grannytobe says. I had this quite bad in my first 3 weeks. I was doing some calf stretches which only helped a bit but after reading the docs on here and adding in ham string stretches after every run it is now all sorted. They still ache a bit, but now it’s normal due to the exercise.

Ok thanks for feedback. I do stretch calf’s, thighs, hamstrings and hips after each run but I will have a read up and see if I should add some others.

I had that for a while.

As well as stretching, a really good massage on my calves was a massive help.

Ultimately, the only real cure for me personally, was getting gait analysis done and spending some cash on some serious running shoes.

Hi, i use to get this, until I had my gait analysed and trainers to suit. I over pronate, who knew.
