I have been attempting week 4 for over 2 weeks now. I did it one day when I got home from work but really struggle in the mornings. Does anyone else find they “perform” better at certain times of the day?

Morning or evening best?
I just roll out of bed at silly o'clock and get it over with. Too many excuses not to do it later 😉
Hi Mindy, I think you’ll find a lot of us do. I prefer going out in the mornings when I get up but others prefer later in the day and for some, of course, it will depend on work and family commitments. So all down to your own preferences- but you might find, like I do, that running ‘outside’ my normal routine can be fun too!
Doing c25k I went straight from bed, now I just run when I have time but always in daylight. Just relax into it, try to get a routine then slow down your running. Merry Christmas
Hi Minsy. Although I'm currently between runs at the moment (having stalled at the start of week 4 I've awarded myself a rest over the festive period) I'm a morning runner myself, for a number of reasons. Firstly, I've never been athletic in any way, so feel very self conscious about what I must look like, going out early & in the dark, no-one can see me! Also by getting up an hour early to do this 3 days a week, it doesn't interfere with my day, which is another benefit. Also, when I get home from work there wouldn't be enough time for me to run & recover sufficiently before we eat our family evening meal. The final advantage is that if I did try running at night I'm sure I would have time to think of millions of excuses why I'd do it tomorrow instead! We are all different however, and what suits me may not suit everyone else, luckily I'm a morning person, getting up early has never been a problem...
I started as a morning runner, getting up at 5.40am to do my run. But as the colder, darker morning came, I found it harder and harder to get out bed.
That said, I much prefer the dark. And strangely, I enjoy the rain too!
Perhaps in summer, I'll go back to mornings
