Hi everyone, this might seem a silly question but Iv never ever done this before, I was wondering if it’s best to do a jog/ run in the morning or evening? Or does it really matter? I’m m 46 n very unfit! Any advice??

Hi Chewy73, firstly you’ve done such a great thing for yourself, starting C25K and joining this amazing forum. 👍👊 Welcome! 😀

As regards what time to run, it’s purely personal preference/convenience. I only run in the mornings, some only run in the evenings, some mix it up. So experiment and see what you prefer, it really doesn’t matter. 👍

Good luck, you’re going to love this. 🏃‍♀️🏃🏃‍♀️🏃

Just take your time and don’t worry about your Speed or times. Take it easy and you will find it knackering but very rewarding. thing to remember is don’t over do it.

Find a time, get ready and go, we started early evening then on a day off went out first thing in the morning and hated it, now we run when we have time and it works, good luck

It's entirely up to you. I find if I run late afternoon/evening I can't get to sleep, but that's just me.

The best time to run is the time when you are under minimal time pressure, feeling like a challenge and haven't recently eaten.

What time of day that happens to be is a very individual thing.

Early morning runs have always been my favourites.

Not at all silly. I always thought "morning, morning"....then I realised it was best..."when I could fit it in". If I can't do the run when planned I have stopped thinking...ok well that's it then. If I have a chance later on...I just go. You will get posts from every walk of life who will just say " fit it in with your life!" If you can make a routine so it is a habit, great, but then be prepared to change when you need to. Good luck. 👍
