A lump in the arch of my left foot. Help!

I’ve developed a little lump in the arch of my left foot. It’s making running a bit uncomfortable, which is really frustrating. Has anyone had anything similar? Or has any tips on treatment? I don’t want to stop running but I don’t want to make it worse either. Thanks in advance!

There is more than one cause of this sort of thing, and you are best off checking with a GP if you're worried.

I will say that I recently had a sore little lump under the arch near the ball of my foot, I think it was a tiny blood clot, and harmless. It didn't bother me enough to stop running, and it disappeared within a couple of weeks. I'm sure you'll be fine, but your lump could well be something different to mine. Good luck! xxx

Hi roseabi, thanks for your reply. I’ve booked a doctor’s appointment today. I’m more worried about not being able to run than anything! I graduated from C25K last year at 60 and I love running so much now that I’d hate to be told I can’t do it anymore! Xx
