It's done now. Went as slow as I could, managed the whole 20 mins, it was dark/cold/raining/windy. I still wanted to go out. Family don't quite get it. Weight is continuing to come off, which makes me happy. Still think I should be bit faster. At this rate 5k will take me 1hr +.
W5 R3: It's done now. Went as slow as I could... - Couch to 5K

Well done Tippyrun thats brilliant. Nope they won't get it unless they try it! hey - never think faster think slower. the aim is 3 30 minute runs not really 5k. 90% of graduates dont do 5k when they graduate. The key to fatsre running is lots and lots of slow running - strange but true! So dont worry, plenty of time to run faster and longer after you graduate

Congratulations to you Tippy
runn on completing run 3 of week 5, that is a milestone run with C25K, don't worry about 5K in a hour, the aim of the course is to run non stop, three times for 30 minutes, not 5K in 30 minutes after 9 weeks, but you can take longer if you wish to..
Onwards and upwards to week 6 run 1 but be careful about that run as it catches out some people with the interval walks and runs after the non stop 20 minutes of W5R3 which you have just ran 🏃🏾 😊

Congratulations on getting out in those conditions. Honestly don't think about how long 5k will take, the plan aims to get you running for 30mins. You will see a massive change over the next 3 weeks and will also have plenty time after that to think whether 5k in 30 is actually your target or whether you want to run different distances. Happy running

Forget 5K for now. that may or may not come and a huge well done to you... especially in the dark and cold. Relax as you head into the next runs , take the, gently and let the legs begin to develop their own happy pace
