Hi

Looking for advice, started week 1 (decent running shoes). Did my 3rd trip out on week 1 last night and now have pain walking and my left knee is hot and swollen (above and behind the joint). Am gutted as I really enjoyed last night.

Any advice welcome.

We here at C25K are not medical experts but we can advise runners if pain persists after any runs NOT to do any runs until any pain heals, if it doesn't within a few days it is better to seek professional advice from a health centre or a doctor, sorry about your injury Vaccs, no more runs until your injury heals.

I have O A and misalignment in both knees. I know it will be a slower than normal progress than for many.

I will value the weight loss, stamina build and muscle strength improvement. Always knew it was not going to be easy.

That sounds quite serious, you really need to see your gp or a physio before you run again. 👎🏼🤞🏻😔

😩Feel for you!! However the runs will wait for you! Get some medical advice as advised here. Put your feet up and read all the running links that you haven’t had time to before.

Let us know how you get on at GP/physio! 💐

Don't let it dishearten you. It's better to be resting and taking care of it, rather than making it worse!
