There have been highs and a couple of lows, but I’m so happy I got to graduation! I am only really running just over 3k in 30 mins, BUT I’m running for 30mins!!! I never thought I’d be able to do that 9 weeks ago, but I’ve followed and trusted the program and I’m so so chuffed!!
I’ve been reading some of the post graduation posts I’ve seen others being linked too, so I’m keen to now progress at a slow steady pace and not cause myself any injury. My obvious next goal is to get to 5k in 30 mins, but if that takes me a year or more to get there, then so be it, as long as I’m running I hope the improvement keeps coming too.
Thank you to all who have helped on my journey xx I look forward keeping up with everyone’s progression on here xx

Congratulations that’s great to hear, keep running and enjoying, just remember to consolidate and not push yourself too hard or fast for the first few weeks and that speed will increase steadily
Thank you for your lovely comment xx Apologies for being a bit dumb on lingo, does consolidate mean, to just keep running the 30 mins and get comfortable with it etc? Xx
Yes , there is a post about running after c25k and advises 3 weeks run 3 times a week for 30 minutes, and don’t worry about speed we slow right down for the longer runs and are now finding we have a bit left at the end so have a sprint finish which is getting longer, you can do what you like now longer slow runs shorter faster runs just be careful not to overdo it
We found once we had graduated we really started to enjoy ourselves and could run longer knowing it was up to us when we stop
Thank you, yeah I need to read some more posts I think, but was planning on doing exactly like you have said above. I’m so thrilled I can now run for 30 mins that I’m happy just doing for a while and then I’ll hopefully just notice some steady progression on pace xx
Congratulations on completing C25K, you do have your graduation badge and the word GRADUATE 🎓 next to your username already, I am not sure how to get a gown and the type of 🎓 cap that you see university graduates wear, I believe there is a C25K graduation T 👚 shirt, that's all I can think of, not a gown. 😊
🎉👏🏼🎉 Bravo. You’ve done really well. 👍 Enjoy the glow. Just keep doing your 30 minute runs for a while, and enjoy that feeling. You’ll know when, if ever, you want to move on. And do keep posting about your runs. It’s such fun to see what everyone does and where they run. And you can encourage all the newbies still worrying about progress. 😄🎉
Thank you everyone for your kind words! Typical that a day after graduation I now am full of cold! Least I got to graduate first! LOL xx
I look forward to continuing my running journey and improving over time xx I will definitely be staying on here as I love reading everyone’s posts and gaining new found motivation etc xx
