Proud to say I did it tonight. I graduated. It wasnβt fast but I did it. So unbelievably pleased.
I didnβt think 9 weeks ago I would ever get to this point as Iβve always believed I wasnβt built to be a runner as Iβve struggled with my weight. However, with determination Iβve managed what I thought and believed initially to be an impossible task. The support on this forum has been immense and I strongly believe it has made the difference to me between failing and succeeding. Thanks to everyone one of you who has commented on my posts or liked them along the way, it has given me added motivation to finish this challenge.
Next step, consolidation and making 30 minutes more comfortable before working on achieving a greater pace and getting to 5k.
Anyone starting out enjoy this marvellous journey. Itβs so worth it both physically and mentally. Iβve said it before but Iβll say it again, if I can do it, anyone can π ππ½ββοΈ
Happy running peeps. Laters π xx

I am! This forum has been a great source of motivation and advice. Will keep posting and good to see how everyone else gets on and to hear peopleβs inspiring stories
Congratulations! You were fast... compare your speed to 10 weeks ago... see! Celebrate well then enjoy consolidation and all your future running adventures
You are right....Consolidation is the name of the game...new routes, 30 minute runs... shorter runs and, begin to add in some, longer see where you get to, runs... They are the ones which continue what C25K has begun.
The long slow runs which build up stamina and strength.. both of which are so necessary for the longer distances.
Do up your non impact exercise too on some of your rest days... and then after a couple of weeks maybe move across to Bridge to 10K to see where to go to next!
But for now... celebrate and bask in the well deserved glory!
Looking forward to seeing your graduation post. I canβt do 5k in 30 mins either but happy to being able to do 30 mins. In time it may come but either way Iβm pleased with how far Iβve come
Whoop whoop, well done you!π It's an amazing feeling isn't it, and raises the smile a little higher seeing Graduate by your name π...great goals for the future, I'm on the same path, working my way to 5K. Good luck and enjoy it π
