Just completed my first run of graduation week! 30 mins done, boom! Is anyone else using Strava alongside the C25K app? I’ve been using to try and help gauge what distances I’m running during my runs, but noticing the info isn’t accurate? It will record different times, ie if I’ve set it going the same time as App, it always under records times by a couple of mins. Which is making me think it must be under recording distances etc too.
I’m already ok with the fact that I know I won’t be running 5k within the 30 mins at the end of this week. But I want to be able to work on getting to 5k once I’ve graduated and was looking for apps to help me record this. Any tips greatly appreciated xx

Any inaccuracies in tracking is more likely to be the effectiveness of your device GPS rather than the app, although even the best units can return variable results.
I have never understood how apps return different durations.
This is probably just a case of personal preference... but I tried Strava and didn't really like it so I gave the Nike Run Club app a try and much prefer it. It gives a nice easy breakdown of your run and your 1km splits etc. so you can really easily see how you have paced yourself. I just found it more user friendly than Strava and think the interface is a bit nicer.
I have just finished week 7 and I am not quite running quick enough to do a 5k in 30 mins yet but I am not a million miles away.
I've been using Strava since week one. I've noticed that as I've got faster, it is recording slightly shorter distances, despite me doing the same run every time 🤔.
It's not a huge difference, about .18k over 8 weeks, but its definitely there and I'm definitely doing the same run.
Nice one! I’ve been using Strava and have just noticed it logs some runs on the same date as the previous run - weird. I think I might try map my run...
Thank you all, I can only judge the time difference errors at present, as I know I’ve been running the time as instructed etc. I just notice that when I then stop it on Strava, it is saying shorter times and it’s frustrating xx I think it must be something to do with GPS, but not sure how I can improve things xx
