Started off in slight mizzle and ended with sleety rain this morning. Celebrating completing week 4!

On way round in middle of my 5 min run an old guy walking his dog commented " You should be running faster than that"

I could only splutter back ... I can't... but thinking about it I wish I had said Why or ...what else could I have said to challenge that rubbish remark?

Dreich and dour for sure, seems to be the order of the day for now!

Cheeky sod! Well, on the one hand you could have said "go on then, you show me!" with a grin...

But then I think... maybe it was the only thing he could think of to say and just wanted to be chatty...

Personally I would have just laughed and said "nae, I'm in no rush" or something like that.

It's learning confidence in ourselves, our reasons for running and how we choose to enjoy it that I love about this programme. No two runners are exactly the same but they can both enjoy the same track or trail in their own ways. 👍🏻😁

I had an old guy saying to me once " get those knees up higher " - think they are just being chatty but I did wonder about my knees for a wee while ..................lol

Great you've now completed wk4. There is always that one person who has something to say. If you see him again and there is something said just smile and keep going. You are doing this for you and no one else and don't need to answer to anyone.

What a great photo even if it is Dreich As you put it . Well done you 😊😊

Horrible ill informed man. You are doing great, you know that, we know that. He knows nothing of your journey. Enjoy, happy running
