Well after a howling gale and lashing rain yesterday we woke to blue skies this morning so after getting a couple of loads of washing on the line we set off for a gentle run round our favourite park. I wanted to see the sea so we detoured round the lake and across the road to the beach, which was beautiful although we had missed the sand at low tide

Go and read the posts on Strength and Flex, honestly i wouldn’t have believed it but my ankles are stronger and there is more bounce in my step i can push off a bit harder and run faster, so thank you OldFloss for leading us there 😀

I toyed with the idea of posting the grinning selfie of us we took at the end but the sea won out

We covered just under 4k today

Learning to run efficiently is so much more than just putting one foot in front of the other.

That's a lovely picture, I've not had a look on the S&F bit yet, I'll take a look.

Well done on the 4k, I hope you both enjoyed the run.

Thank you, the first 10 minutes were a bit toxic but after that we just jogged on, a bit slower and Willow isn’t getting the pain in his knee so slower is better

Slow is good especially if it results in pain free. Yay for you both🙆‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♂️

Fabulous. I had no idea until recently how important all those little bits of my feet and ankles were! I learned the hard way - getting over to the S&F forum for some preventative work is a very good idea!!!

I’ve been doing knee exercises from the start but was surprised at my feet and ankles and how much more power seems to be in them
