I’ve had flu (diagnosed by Dr) for a week so haven’t run fir 2 weeks . My last run was week 6 run 2 how far back do I need to go when I restart?

Hopefully I’ll be fit to start next week.

After 2 weeks you tend to lose a bit of fitness plus you have had a viral infection so you definitely need the DR to say ok before starting exercise again to avoid post viral fatigue syndrome.

Keep drinking lots of fluids!!! Very important for both recovery and running!! Start doing some strength & flex exercises & gentle walks.

Once you have the ok from your Dr go out and try a 5min walk 5 min SLOW run & see how it feels. If it feels ok pick up from W5:1 after a rest day. If not start at week 4:1 after a rest day.

Vital to run slowly and ease in gently.

Glad you are feeling better! 👏💐
