Three weeks ago I was cracking along nicely, ran for 11 consecutive mins followed by two runs of 6mins, then flu struck. A week in bed, horrid and a week back at work which was exhausting. So today was my first run post flu. Managed 5mins, 6mins, 6mins and then 3mins, a kind of week 5 run 2 variation....
Gosh it was hard work but I’ve started the road back. When I think back to week 1, when running a minute was a heck of a chore, I’m so pleased that although I’ve slipped back I’m not right back where I started.
Plus the sun is out!
Ted is still in the sofa, keeping it warm for my post run warm down.....

Well done. I had a cold/cough bug for over two weeks and I had reached W6R3. I went back to W4R1 to get started again. Today I did W5R1 again and enjoyed it, I think the running just may be getting slightly easier.
There IS running after flu then. At the moment I feel that I'll never run (or walk, sit up, breathe without pain) again. Thank you for this glimmer of hope.
