Need to reboot - which week?

Hi all, I am a C25k graduate (yay!) who needs to reboot her running because she's gotten out of the habit since moving house two months ago (boo!).

My trouble has partly been scheduling (partner works long hours and I have two kids under 5), and also our new neighbourhood has no obvious, pleasant routes, and also has lethal pavements and I've repeatedly turned my ankle.

I think I've found a compromise route now, and want to get back to regularly running 5k comfortably before it gets too bleak and cold and dark. I've been trying to run without a plan but I've found I'm too easy on myself and am cutting short my sessions at about the twenty minute mark and if I'm honest, I'm not that tired I'm just bored.

Is there a good week to restart from to help me buildup the motivation again? I'm hoping it won't be too long until I can graduate fully to aiming for 10k, but i want to be comfortable in my 5k distance again first and reform the habit of getting out there in all weathers.

Thanks in advance and the best of luck to everyone on their c25k journey - it really did make such an impact on me even though it was one of the toughest things I've ever done and I really want that buzz back!

Congratulations on considering to restart your 🏃🏾 running, it is difficult for a mother of two preschool children just to know where and when to run, certainly do not run on all those uneven pavements. Restart running a few 1 minutes runs as in week 1 of C25K, then restart properly at week 3 of C25K and from then on see how things develop. 😊 🏃🏾

What about starting with wk5r3 then run 3 of week 7 , 8 and nine. I will post a link to see if it can help you with where to run. Good luck 😊

I’d agree with Buddy34 if you are already doing 20 mins happily then start there and you’ll re-graduate in no time. Lovely if you can fit in this special time for you. If it’s doable it should be good for the whole family in the long term,

Well done for trying to get back into it again! I restarted at week 5 and was fine. I’m 62😉. Good luck!
