I enjoy (if that's the right word) using the rowing machine at the gym. Is this a good way to strengthen my calves and knees? I don't have a lot of trouble with my knees, but they do ache a bit after a run.
I'm on w6r3 and was reasonably fit when I started. I'm about 5lb above a healthy BMI.

I cannot comment on rowing machines..8 use my elliptical for knee work.. but exercises too..pop across to the S&F forum for some great ideas for leg strengthening.
Just have come across your post a bit late, but Just in case it’s of interest, I’ve just dropped a rowing interval workout review in the Strength and Flex Forum. healthunlocked.com/strength...
Thank you so much for this; I'd forgotten I'd ever written that post. Sadly, I gave up the gym during the first lockdown. Maybe I'll get back there in 2021. 🤞The post has made me realise just how far I've come: from week 6 run 1 to a half marathon last week. 😊
