This is for my beautiful new "looney" friend with velvety ears! Rather bracing on the river today, but stunning. Weeping willows bowed majestically towards the river's surface, mist hung above the water, a cormorant at the top of a branch of a very tall tree was drying itself, its wings spread out like Darth Vader's cape. Amazing outing. Bench shows that Jack Frost has been a-visiting, route is the usual one down and then back upstream. View setting off. Happy safe running everyone! ππΌββοΈππ»ππΌββοΈππ»π

Early Morning Row -2 degrees
brrrrr!! I must admit I'm not looking forward to my run tomorrow. At least you had the sense to wait until it was light. Think of me tomorrow in the cold and dark..... :/
Haha.
To clarify for the benefit of the mystified, her looney friend with the velvety ears is our dog Martha, who Flossie has "met" in the Strava NHSC25k club.
Beautiful Flossie....
Rowing and running! Super dooper impressive, especially in this cold!
So, you rowed for over an hour?!!! You must be really fit Flossie! Gorgeous photo.
Now before you have me in the next Olympics Irishprincess this is recreational rowing, which means you get to natter all the time and therefore you are not racing all the way by any means! It's really great fun and a way to keep in touch with friends whilst being outdoors! I can do this stretch in a single in about 40 minutes which just goes to show our slow pace as we chat! LOL π£π»ββοΈπ£π»ββοΈππ
-2 that's positively balmy, you should be up here in the north of you want real cold.
I waited til after 11.00 am for my run and it got above freezing. it felt warm though as the sun was out. Lucky me π
Above freezing is definitely a good temperature to run in at the moment misswobble . Very clever to wait until after 11. I am planning another slow row this morning. Haven't checked the forecast yet, so have no idea if very cold or just a wee bit chilly. βοΈ βοΈ Well done on getting out there though. Great effort. π
So beautiful πhope that rowing didn't aggravate your sore knee! The only water I saw was flooding in our basement kitchen at work!!!! Another problem to sort ha ha!! Would have preferred to row with youππx
Awww Phyllis, wouldn't that have been great? I don't think that the rowing was the problem, it was the cycling back uphill, which at the time seemed fine, but later on in the afternoon my knee moaned again. So today after rowing I shall raise it and ice it. Sounds like a cake, doesn't it! π π
Sorry to hear about your flooding issue at work. Burst pipe? I'm sure you fixed it though. π§π¨ "Bob the builder, can he fix it? Bob the builder, yes he can!" π€π€ ππ
Sounds beautiful π
