Just signed up to do a 10K run!

Nothing like having a goal to aim for! I haven’t even graduated from C25K and I’ve just signed up for a 10K run in June! Thinking I’ve got a fair amount of time between now and then to prepare. Scared and excited... wish me luck 😊

That's going to focus the mind. Loads of time. Dont push too hard too quickly and you'll be crossing that 10k line before you know it

Good luck for your 10K next June, plenty of time to train, you could run a 5K one week, 5.5k the following week with a shorter run in between and so on, roughly 1K more a fortnight, try Ju Ju's Magic 10 K plan.

Thanks for the advice. I’m about to start Week 8 on C25K. After graduating I’ll definitely look into the Magic 10K 👍🏻

You'll be grand...I can see you must be close to Graduation, then a month of consolidating, 2 to 3 months on Juju's Magic 10K plan.

If all goes according to plan (does it ever 😂) you could well be consolidating your 10K's by March or April.

Loads of time until June to take it sensibly and not have to push too hard 😉🏃‍♀️👍

I'll bet...my Dad always said the years go faster after 40, boy he wasn't kidding!!

Enjoy your run in the morning, you know the drill, you'll be fine 🏃‍♀️😊👍

That’s so true. I’m 47. My 30s went by in a flash and my 40s are heading the same way! I wish I’d started this running malarkey a long time ago. I love it... it’s addictive 😊 I never thought I would get this far after struggling to do 60 seconds!

It's brilliant isn't it...I'm 47 too, we're spring chickens mind you compared to some of the guys on here!

I'm not sure I'd have given it the same focus before, now my son's plenty old enough to look after himself I have free time outside of work so there was no excuse not to give it a try.

And after C25K and recently Juju's Magic 10K plan I know I can do it, so that's all my excuses gone.

Glad you're loving it too...makes it so much easier to stick to when it floats your boat 👍
