Hey guys I’ve started couch to 5k a few times, I’ve lost weight and put it back on SO many times.
On Monday I started again, more determined than ever. Any tips to get me through the 9 weeks? I reckon if I can get through that I’ll be on to a winner💪🏻🏃🏻♀️

Hi Hanruh. Think of running more for its impact on your health than as a weight loss tool. It may help with weight, but if you want to lose weight you will primarily need to change what and how much you eat. For the health benefit, you have to commit to regular running, to make it an unbreakable habit. Not just for the duration of the programme, but for ever. It helps to set aside regular times when you will run, so it becomes a routine. It helps to tell others, so they help keep you honest. Little things like laying out your kit the night before also helps. Don’t be dispirited if a run doesn’t go smoothly, just go again the next time.
Thank you definitely treating diet and exercise as two different things, just struggle with motivation for both. Definitely going to lay kit out the night before! 👌🏻
You just need to keep hold of the motivation that got you started. Whenever you feel like quitting, just remind yourself why you are doing it and push on. Having recently graduated I know some weeks are hard, but it really is worth it as you will feel better for it. Good luck.
Whenever I really feel unmotivated - Ill tell myself that Ill just put on my gear, but if Im still not feeling it I wont go. And so far I think only once have I actually not ended up heading out - once you're all ready to go, getting out the door is easy!
