I started with the 5k. I run four times and I abandoned the programme. I think that I need do it with somebody...

Motivation
Lots of running clubs run C25K programmes, I think you run one each week with the group and two on your own. Have a look at clubs locally, you might find some likeminded folk.
Some people on here have virtual running buddies and that seems to work well too. Good luck
I will. I didn't know about theses clubs. Thanks you
Alallo, motivation is a strange thing. We all need a gentle nudge sometimes from others but for the most part it comes from within. Think hard why you started the programme, what was it that (motivated) you to take that first step. Everyone on here has thought of giving up for one reason or another. I almost quit in week 3. Have a look around the forum people will help. We are all with you on your runs. Keep going 👍👍
Dig deep and remember why you started and what you want to achieve. Not everyone is designed to be a marathon runner, I am having to do my week 2 again because I don't feel ready for wk3 yet but feel so much better than I did when I started. I am 45, stopped smoking 8 mths ago and really struggled at the beginning. You have to tell yourself you can do it....
Congratulations for your achievements. Maybe my problem is that I don't believe in myself...
It can be surprising in what you can find in yourself. Last time I ran was when I was a chubby kid chasing the ice cream van.
Was very self conscious about how I looked when I was put running but dosent bother me now because I am doing something positive about how I look. Now it's headphones on, dog running with me and most importantly, telling my self when my chest hurts and heart is banging away that I CAN DO IT and I CAN CARRY ON. Don't give up mate
