W1R3 - Done!

Well, I really didn’t feel like it today. Nasty drizzle, and loads of other stuff to do. But the though of not doing it was worse. I downloaded Strava, set it up, changed my coach from Sanjeev to Michael (just for a change - I’ll probably do that quite often), off I went......

Thoroughly enjoyed it and revved up to get stuck into the other stuff.

Strava told me I walked/ran 2.8k. Don’t know if that’s good or bad, but a benchmark for future runs.

Have a good day everybody 😄

Well done on completing week 1. I'm planning my W1R3 tomorrow morning and as an experiment have decided to try listening to the podcast with music instead of just the plain app. (I'm hoping it'll be a useful distraction!)

I’d thought about doing that, and even dug out my old iPod classic and loaded the podcasts on there - Might try it on Monday. Have fun tomorrow 😄

I run with the podcasts because the app isn't available in my country. On first listening (as part of my preparation, a dry-run, so to say), I found the music rather uninspiring, but listening to it during the actual run gives me just the right energy. And I'm addicted to Laura! :-)

The only thing that seems to be missing on the podcasts is the halftime bell some of you have mentioned ...?

I do the same find it a useful distraction tuning into my Pulsar Music App. Upbeat tempo gives you a little helping push along the road.

Of course 2.8k is good if you'd stayed at home it would have been 0. Enjoy your weekend. Well done you 😊

Well done Wenderwoo. Sometimes the most rewarding runs are achieved when you don't feel like it.

Well done Wenderwoo! :-)) I hope I will be able to motivate myself just like you did today whenever I'll have to (I did W1R2 today under a clear blue sky - it's so much easier that way). Will keep your example in mind!
