I’m 57 and thought I hated running until a friend persuaded me to try Couch25K. I honestly believe you cannot fail unless you are injured or ill. Just take it slowly, and repeat runs or entire weeks if you’re struggling. You’ll do it! Personally, I found week 3 the most challenging. Now in week 7 and can’t believe how much I’ve enjoyed it. Good luck!

Just do it 😊! Honestly I wish I've started years ago. I guess is never too late 😊. Go slow and enjoy. You'll feel great afterwards 😊. Good luck!

Wellcome Milly.

As everyone else has said. Take it easy.

I started 6 months ago at the age of 56 after a lifetime of hating running. I followed the plan strictly and invested in a good pair of trainers which was the best thing I could have done as after 3 weeks I stated to get ankle and knee pains. Why ? Because I had the wrong trainers. So I would suggest you have a gait analysis done to make sure you have the correct trainers and avoid any unnecessary injuries.

Good luck. You’ll become addicted I’m sure

I agree with all of the above but what I also learned was that your brain needs to be on board! Always go out knowing it might be hard but you CAN do it. It’s tried and tested by thousands of us. Good luck in your journey. Hope it started well.

Take it slowly and follow the program to the letter...don’t try and skip bits or fast forward the program...your legs need time to strengthen and cope with the demands of running and even if your lungs can cope, you need to strengthen your bones and muscles slowly. Don’t run on consecutive days (same reason). Download your favourite tunes as the app allows for music at the same time (the music will quieten when your chosen coach is talking). Enjoy it (if you’re not enjoying it, go slower-you will enjoy it soon!) and feel immensely proud of what you’re doing! X
