Well after four weeks in and deciding to stick with running I’ve treated myself to a treadmill so first run just done. Got to say though, found it much harder than being outside but I know it’s going to help me as will have more flexibility to run when it suits and not always have to consider childcare.

Good luck with the treadmill and child care. Benefits of starting running in later years, got c25k completed before 1st grandchild appeared :)

Well done Fairy220480 ...that is dedication. I have to agree that being outside is better but when you have things like childcare to consider it's not always possible. Wel;l done on getting to week 4, not long now and you will have a shiny new badge too!!

I’m thinking I’ll perhaps use treadmill on weeknights and still have an outdoor run at the weekend. Thank you for the words of encouragement too!

Not to forgot, it’s an advantage in bad / cold weather. Might even want to use the treadmill for your dog (if you have one)

I have a ten year old daughter, she’s already googling dogs on treadmills but don’t think our dog will be having any of it! 😂
