I've struggled for about 9 months with a knee problem had physio and restarted training only to break down. I consulted a GP at my doctors, and she advised me to run on a treadmill, that made it worse.
So I went back to the doctors saw another GP who referred me to have a scan, didn't get a scan but a full examination of the knee that determined I have deep tissue damage and need a more specialised physio for these types of injuries hopefully I should be able to restart after Christmas π€

πGlad you have a good diagnosis & having physio! Lots of time to read up Running Site and get ahead of the game once you are back. Hope the recovery goes well Paul π«
You'll be starting out as weather improves /days brighten rather than those trying to move from daylight to night running. Just trying to put a positive spin on things for you. Keep up the physio and don't try to rush recovery (says the person who listens to none of this advice herself)
Hi Paul, I'm sure u feel frustrated coz I did when my knees played up for just 2 weeks. Maybe the NHS can get u some knee supports for when u start back running? Here in France, the GP gives u a prescription for them. Good luck with the treatment.
