After not running anywhere since before children (all teenagers now), my eldest daughter dragged me along to our local Couch to 5K group this evening. We missed the first week (last week), so were a little apprehensive. Somewhat surprisingly, we both survived to tell the tale, and are now busy installing the app on our phones, ready for our "homework" sessions. Also looking on Amazon at head torches...

Well done and welcome. C25K has changed my life over the last 2.5 years. It’s an amazing plan. You’ll love it.

Fingers crossed. I think half the challenge will just be making time to go do the runs.

Make it a habit. Try to stick to the same days and similar times each week. Over time guilt will kick in if you don’t run and you’ll get out the door. It’s just 30 mins 3 times per week. I should have ran yesterday evening but I didn’t, guilt has hit me now and so I’ll be out pounding the pavement this evening after work.

Great you both have a group to run with. Just go slow and make sure you're drinking plenty water 7 days a week not just on run days. C25k is an amazing plan and really does work you'll get lots of encouragement and support on here good luck 😊😊

Thanks for the tips! A few aches this morning, but having not run for years and years, I'm guessing that was expected :)

Yes, a few aches to be expected. Remember to stretch after every run . 😊
