Hi there everyone, I haven't posted here for a long time, but I just wanted to say a big well done to those just starting out on C25K - it's a great programme - enjoy it. To those who have graduated, congratulations ππ - fabulous. I'm still running, I'm still loving it and I've been going now for nearly 18 months. Had the odd injury, such is the way of things.
Running has brought me so many new friends, and new adventures. ParkRuns, 10k races, joined a great running club and even volunteering at our local ParkRun, which is really lots of fun - sometimes it's nice to not run but still be involved.
So everyone, happy running...enjoy lots π»π

Lovely Gran4z. Itβs nice for those doing the plan to hear from those who have graduated about how c25k can change lifestyle. Sounds like we started around the same time.
Go for it - you can do it! That was my mantra when things got tough...and they did. But you just put those runs down to experience and carry on. Happy days, happy running ππ» oh and be a snail π, it's not about speed, it's about stamina, building strength, and distance. Speed can come later - if you wish, and you probably will, I keep challenging myself to PBs - wish I didn't πππ».
Great post Gran4z. I was a mature May 2018 starter! I remember all of the "can I do this?" "Have I left it too late?" Every niggle was attributed to age, unchangeable lack of muscle, stiff tendons.......but in the end all of those demons were booted off the face of the planet, just through building up slowly, a couple of trips to physios who gave me a great strengthening exercise regime and all of the support of people on this site which has now extended into great advice from people I have met on Park Runs or just out on my every other day excursions. Health warning, you may not recognise yourself if you stick with the programme.....but in a very good way ππ
I was possibly even more mature than you...well in number of years! Not sure about being mature in any other way - my family would probably disagree in that I got my first tattoo last week π³ And I'm now 71 π. Yes started for second attempt in April 2018 with C25K. Yes I'm a very different person these days...and out in all weathers too. Just love to run - happy days, happy running πππ»π
You will - just believe in yourself. Youβve got off the proverbial βcouchβ - thatβs the hardest bit. Go for it π and be really proud of yourself. π»
