Hi everyone and welcome to yet another new and exciting running week. Christmas is definitely not far away now.... but running is such a stress buster, lets pop those running shoes on and get out there folks 🏃🏽♀️🏃🏻😀
So, time for our chatty chat........We are all so busy... life can be hectic .... and even more so for us runners!
Fear not, here is a place to take five, and enjoy a good old natter about our running adventures, trials, tribulations, successes, achievements etc.
Sometimes we don't feel like putting a whole post up, but just want to share something small, so this is a great place for doing that during the week.
If you're a lurker, this is also a great place to say a little hi, without the pressure of a full post.
So pull up a chair, slip off the running shoes, and settle down for a little chin-wag!
Wishing you all a happy, healthy, great running week.

Hi Millsie-j, I have had a really bad week, I suffer from IBS, and earlier in the month I put my name down for run up to Christmas and have only managed the odd run due to my illness, a bit down really, but I hope my recent flare up doesn’t last too long, I’m suppose to being doing a Santa Dash on Sunday. Hope everyone’s else’s week has been good.
HI, haven't posted on here before but your message sounded very friendly! I successfully completed the Couch to 5K app a few weeks ago. I felt very pleased with myself although I was running more like 3.5k in half an hour. I planned to start the app again but with jogging and running instead of walking and jogging, to try and increase speed. Started well although speed didn't seem to increase, I was enthusiastic and signed up for a couple of local 10k runs next year, the got a cold and am now in the mad work rush into Christmas with no time to run. Haven't run for nearly 2 weeks and am feeling as though it has all been for nothing!
Could do with a serious dose of positivity if anyone has any left this close to Christmas!
Your speed matches mine. I’m assured by my running buddy that this will increase and that I’m a very new runner, so I’m concentrating on finishing the course and then trying to speed up. If I don’t, who cares ? I can now run for 25 minutes ;not something I could have done a few weeks ago. 3.5 k in 30 minutes is always faster than sitting on the couch.
It's not been for nothing 🙂. So you've had to take some time out, you'll run like the wind when you do get a chance to run - it's amazing what a little break can do. As for 3.5k in 30 mins...I think that's about the norm. As you run more you will get stronger and faster for sure, but it's not a speed thing, it's purely getting out there and moving. You've done that, so be proud of yourself. 👏😀🎉🎄
Hello Millsie 😀 I'm loving doing this, and loving the chats and support. Getting prepared for week 6 run 2 today!! I am a bit apprehensive about week 9, only because we will have commenced a 28 day cruise!!!! I've never ran on a treadmill and I'm imagining running round the decks will be tricky?! 🤣
Into week 8: third run of the week will be my first ever parkrun on Saturday as a Christmas present to me. I was hoping to be anonymous but now have a friend and my son joining me! I don’t expect to be able to run it all but will have a good go. Expecting about 45mins or more. Hope everyone has a good week 👍
