Easier then I thought. Really enjoyed it. Looking forward to my next run already. One question can you do all the runs back to back like Monday Tuesday and Wednesday?

Welcome to the forum and well done on getting started.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

When you run the impact creates microtears in your muscles which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. Without rest, repair and strengthening is restricted and injury risk is increased. Please take your rest days, they are part of the plan.

Enjoy your journey.

Hi, I would say no take the days rest or you could leave your self open to injury.

Simple answer, don't do it. Taking rest days won't hurt you and are an essential part of the plan, not taking them might. It is that easy.

Yes for me it's not the running that's a problem it's the breathing!

For me the breathing and the running. Plus think I run too fast on the second run getting too confident to quickly 😂😂😂

Hi Mick and welcome. Well done for getting started - thats the hardest bit. My top two tips - 1. Always, always take your rest days - more is better than less - its when your muscles repair and get stronger - elite athletes (not me!) know that rest is as important as the training. Failure to observe this simple rule will probably lead to fatigue and injury(from my experience!) 2. Keep all your runs slow and steady. You are training not racing. If you can finish fast or with a sprint that's great otherwise slow and steady is the mantra - all the way to week 9. Speed comes naturally when you've been running for a few months and have built up your strength and stamina

Sorry - I know you didnt ask for tips. Good luck and enjoy your running
