Exactly what I do. My run routine is Monday Wednesday Friday as soon as I open my eyes! When I start park runs I will swap Friday to Saturday.

Not every day though? Not in Couch to 5k. A non-running day between runs is essential in the first several months of running. But Mon Wed Fri with weekends off makes perfect sense. Low impact training like walking or swimming is OK on non running days.

I still do long brisk walks with my dog, Saturday and Sunday......

Nothing wrong with that. I’m just saying don’t run all five days Monday to Friday. Beginners shouldn’t run on consecutive days. (I’m assuming you’re a beginner because you posted in this particular forum.)

I only exercise during the week - gym and Pilates, occasionally an out door run. Weekend walks with husband.
