Proud mum moment

So last night I followed my 14 year old daughter giving week 5 run 3 a go. We have been running alternate days so the dog can join in each day but being her first long run and late I really wanted to join her. Fab start where being faster than me she was way out front, with little snail me plodding on nicely behind. Half way through she thought about stopping and there I was ‘keep going’ “go” such an amazing mum/daughter moment. C25k has been a real life changer for me and now my daughter. I’ve now been running for 22 weeks! I feel great, fit happy and loving fitting into the smaller end of my wardrobe!! To be able to run with her and keep her going on her journey felt like a real gift. We even had a mini race to celebrate the end ( she won of course) Waiting for the little one to graduate then you never know 10 k might just happen one day xxx Love to all 🏃‍♀️

Its so great when you can share running with your family and with a mum like you to cheer her on she will do it. Congratulations 😊😊

So lovely to share, she’s just soo quick. It’s been nice doing the sports shop shopping too 😁

What a lovely post! Great that you have inspired your daughter to give C25K a go and lovely that you were there to encourage her when she was finding it a bit tough. Well done both of you. ☺

Thank you Debston. I had all of you guys keeping me going, it was nice knowing what to say when she had a mini meltdown in the middle. She’s so quick trying to encourage going a little slower. Xx

That’s great to run with a teenager! I’v been running with my 14 yr old son since the start of the programme. We will start week 8 tomorrow but he’s finding it hard to run along side me as our paces are so different now. We are determined to stick together until end and then make some readjustments! It’s great to do it together.

Wow how amazing that you’ve done it together so far.

Congratulations on getting to week 8.

Yes these teens are quick, admittedly I did cut a few corners to stay close 😁

It’s stamina she really needs to work on x

How lovely. It's very special to find an activity you can share with your daughter. What a great mum you are to encourage her when she struggled. Well done to you both.

Thank you puppy love. I think the next run I join her on will be her graduation run. So proud of her x
