Great you've completed wk1r2. Did you do run 1 yesterday. It is very important to have a rest day between each run. Well done you 😊

I should have rested but I was to keen lol. Rest day tomorrow back on Tuesday. Thanks for the encouragement

Please make sure you always have a rest day as you can get an injury that could put you out of running for a while 😊

Well done and keep on liking it 😁👍

Thanks! I’ve always hated running but I wanted to try something out of my comfort zone. x

And you like it now, it just shows you how we can all change.

Keep us posted on your progress.

Well done.

Was it just yesterday that you posted that you completed your first run?

As explained in the guide to the plan healthunlocked.com/couchto5... the rest day between runs is crucial.

When you run the impact creates microtears in your muscles which repair and strengthen on your rest days, not while running. Without rest, repair and strengthening is restricted and injury risk is raised.

Take care. Take your rest days.

The very first run is often the 'worst' for many of us as it's that big leap of faith and putting yourself out there 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️. Well done but careful......... as it can very quickly become addictive!!! 😉

Hope this addiction continues! 🙏🏽🏃🏾‍♂️

Well done! Glad you’re enjoying 🙂 - it quickly becomes addictive and if you need to take a few rest days between runs and repeat a run or week too 🤗 x

👍 well done Aruba excellent start, but it’s SO important to take the rest day right through to 9:3 Read all the running blogs. It’s a scientific program not just a silly health and safety rule!

Congratulations on taking your first steps👏👏👏 You’re probably sick of hearing it, but please follow the programme exactly as set out, including the rest days, as that will get you to the end in one piece and being able to run 30 minutes non-stop! Fantastic that you already feel hooked though. Took me until about week 7 before I started to enjoy it! Btw is your forum name indicative of a special event? Just curious 😂
