Not quite new to running

Hi I've been walk/jogging for a few weeks now and decided to join the forum. I'm a few weeks in but still at a walk run pace as I'm not getting out there enough.

There's nothing wrong with walk/jogging, this helps build strength and stamina. I did a walk/run this morning, most graduates do these regularly. Don't be-little your efforts, you've got off your backside and are doing something positive for your future. Keep at it.

Totally agree with Slowstart

Are you following a c25k program?

Thanks for your lovely comments. Well I would say that I am following a programme of sorts but mainly tend to do my run/walking using Runkeeper and this is for 30 mins. On one hand I need to catch up on the podcasts but I'm not a strict beginner so I'll let you know where I'm at when I go on my next jog!

My daughter has just started the program but being young and fairly active, she found week 1 too easy, so she did 1 run from each week until she found a level that suited her. The program is there to help us get started, but where you join is a personal decision, do what is right for you.

This answers a question I had. I've been walk/jogging for a while but not sure what level I'm at. At present I'm still beginner and can prob run for 2.5 mins at most.

In that case I would start at week 2 (90 seconds) and if it's not challenging enough, move on to week 3 (90 seconds and 3 minutes). Good luck

Welcome. Walk/run is the way to build up and I personally often still do that as it seems to suit me. Keep us posted.
