am trying to run on my toes (rather than my heels) and think this might be aided by better shoes. my back ribs are also aching after runs... are my flippers the culprits? any advice on good shoes or running style for flat feet?
that said, today's run was good. 90 seconds is starting to feel much shorter than it used to.
peace x

You should never run on your heels... you should aim to run on the balls of your feet...I would go to a specialist running shop and ask for a gait analysis...these are usually free and you don’t have to buy trainers there and then...others on here with more knowledge than me will no doubt give you more useful information.
You have flatfeet when the arches on the inside of your feet are flattened, allowing the entire soles of your feet to touch the floor when you stand up. I know what it's like, I also have flat feet. I can my help from places like perfectshoesforyou.com/best... and many more where I could read about proper footwear for people like us. Flatfeet can sometimes contribute to problems in your ankles and knees because the condition can alter the alignment of your legs. If you aren't having pain, no treatment is usually necessary for flatfeet.
