Numb feet

Hi guys, so yesterday I completed my first run of C25K and towards the last ten minutes of the run the bottom of my feet were very numb but I carried on regardless. Just wondering if any of you experienced this when you started running or could it be my running shoes causing it?

Sounds like it could be the shoes. Can’t see any other reason. Your foot/feet must be constricted?

Also look in forums there’s loads of people w same problem. An answer was to not tie laces too tight!?

Oh that maybe could have been the problem I will try and tie them looser next time and see if that makes a difference.

Unusual.

Did it wear off quickly afterwards?

Are you wearing socks?

Yes it wore off quite quickly afterwards probably around 10 minutes and yes I was wearing socks.

Numbness can be symptomatic of restricted blood flow, so your shoes may well be too small (feet swell when we run) or that they are too tightly laced. This is why most people have running shoes at least a size larger than normal footwear.
