Keep going Blossom66, congratulations on starting C25K with run 1 of week 1 and welcome to the forum, many people have found that run 1 is the hardest run of the whole program,

You can repeat as many runs or weeks as you want until you are satisfied with your running, hydrate as well, drink plenty of water the day before you run and a little on the day you do run.

Take all the runs slowly, try and run on the same three days each week, that way you will have two non running days when you can do other exercises if you want to.

That first run of a new week is always a little longer than the previous week, what you could do is have your 3 runs say on a Wednesday Friday and Sunday, that would mean that your two non running days would be Monday and Tuesday, it's up to you what your running days are, but make the new 'week' after two days off running, that way you might find the new week easier. 😊 🏃

It’s the mental issue of increasing the running time after the euphoria of completing the previous week. Keep going, you are doing incredibly well!

Well done for starting the program it’s brilliant and one decision you won’t regret!

I struggled with my first run as I was going too fast and knowing how to breath etc. I watched a load of YouTube videos and they helped a lot.

Keep at it, it will eventually come more naturally you’re doing great don’t doubt yourself and keep going!!

Good luck

Welcome to the forum and well done on your progress.

This guide to the plan is essential reading healthunlocked.com/couchto5...

Since each week steps up the duration, you need to pace yourself and slow down to make sure you have plenty left in the tank. Any run, for any runner will be hard if they push towards their pace limit. By slowing down you give your body the opportunity to build muscle and stamina without a struggle.

Enjoy your journey.
