.... pick up your pace ever such a tiny bit and try and look like you know what youโre doing when someone else is running towards you?
I caught myself doing it this morning! Who am I kidding?๐

I do it more when someone see's me coming up behind them and stops to let me past! Gotta run that little bit faster, pick those legs up that little bit more and pretend i'm not doing the turtle shuffle! hahaha
Ha ha love that idea. As I never see a soul. Well one today and yes I did exactly that !!!
Always do this! Step up the pace and look serious. All the gear, no idea...
I tend to do it with people but also runners who I can tell are experienced - I know they aren't judging as they've been there before but I like to do it anyway to look faster than I am ๐
Of course ๐ฌ๐
Totally ๐
I ran past two policemen walking on the path today. My 90sec run ended as I was right next to them (W3R2) so I kept going for 30 sec to not look silly and for social distance of course
Good plan lol ๐
Never thought of that ...excellent point ๐
Itโs so nice to know Iโm not alone in this...๐คฃ
I donโt do that... but when Iโve had to socially distance by stepping into the road that has become a little sprint interval just so I can get back on the pavement!
Haha! I had someone running up behind me today and was due to launch from walking into run (W3R2) and carried on walking after Laura told me to 'go!' So I didn't look like I was trying to compete in any way.... although that is impossible with my 'plod...plod'...๐คฃ๐คฃ๐คฃ N.B. I ran for a few seconds after Laura said 'slow down now' so didn't cheat๐๐
I had that today for the first too...I crossed the road to pass a man 20 years older than me as I wasn't sure how much faster i would be than him. Then on my return he wasn't that far behind me! ๐คช
Yep ๐คฃ
Got lapped on my circuit of the woods this evening by a young man half my age.
He smiled as he went past for the second time - hopefully in support rather than in mockery ๐
Yes! But trying not to feel I have to go ANY faster when I pass anyone and they really don't care.
It's been slightly disconcerting during lockdown to have people so keen to move out of my way when running (slowly) in my local park ... and particularly people with little kids. Maybe I should get a T-shirt that says "Hello! I'm friendly, and I do not want to breathe on or infect your children".
Oh gosh every single time!!!!
Yes ha ha!!! Glad itโs not just me ๐
