Hello fellow runners. I have just joined the local gym as I intend to do some swimming on my rest days. I graduated at the end of June and have always enjoyed running outside in the early morning, but with the weather getting colder/wetter I thought I might make the most of my membership and try running on the treadmill, though I'm not sure I'll enjoy it so much. Any tips please?

Treadmill running is different have some good music or you might get bored, set the incline to 1 and off you go. I could always run way faster on a treadmill

I did the same this week an have done a few runs now, I set the elevation to 2.5 and I do find I run a little slower, still getting used to it and I think my stride isn't as great on the treadmill. I definitely enjoy the variety though. Have also had a go on the cross trainer and bike. (My calves and abs are feeling it today from these )
Hi. Like you I’m about to join a gym linked to the yoga studio I go to. I thought it would be easier to do two of my weekly runs on the treadmill because there are no streetlights where I live. I can then do my longer weekend run outside. That way at least I will keep going over the winter but still have some outdoor running.
