I know its,a bit early, but does anyone know if parkruns go ahead over Christmas? Going home for Christmas and wondering if i will get the chance to break my parkrun virginity....

There are a few parkruns on Christmas Day, nearer the time on the parkrun website there will be how many and where they are, however, the following week, New Year's Day park run times vary to allow people to run at two if they wish to, or after the night before, if they can.

Update, Saturday 7th September, I enjoyed my parkrun this morning at Dunfermline, bit chuffed, got a PB of 32.01, could have been sub 32 but I was speaking away to a lady runner and told her "ladies first" as we got to the finishing line, nevertheless I am very happy with that result.

Hi, hope you enjoy Barnstaple. I haven't done that one but we regularly holiday in Lynton, so (long story) but Woolacombe was kind of my first parkrun back in early August, you're right it is very hard!! Sand dunes, phew.... But it was god fun, lovely spirit and no one can do it that quick. I will be interested to hear about Barnstaple as maybe I can give that a go next time we are down that way. Good luck!

I go to Woolacombe on holiday at least once a year. Didn't even cross my mind that there'll be a park run! Not that I would have been ready when I went this year. It's good to know now, next time might try Barnstaple as I was too worried to go for a run on the narrow roads full of caravans trying to pass each other.

Hope you enjoyed the ParkRun in Barnstaple today. Weather wasn’t too bad was it? I was gonna wander over and cheer you on but I sort of got stuck in my quilt and couldn’t make it.🤣 maybe next time you are down here ?
